October 1st, 2011 - Martin Design/Gardner Architecture 2012 Calendar Preview

Below is a sneak peek of our 2012 Calendar . Every year Martin Design and Gardner Architecture put together a custom calendar featuring pictures of Iowa's beautiful landscapes, animals and flowers, exclusively for our clients. Our calendar features photography by Bob Lancaster of Wildflowers Photography with our friends at Big Behr providing the creative layouts. We hope you enjoy looking through it as much as we have. June 15th, 2011 - Marion Public Library Golf Outing

For the second year in a row Martin Design has supported the Marion Public Library by sending our four best golfers from our Gardner Architecture office located in Strawberry Point to compete in the 18 hole golf outing at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa. This event is always looked forward to by all who participate in it and we are proud to support our local library. Seen below is a photo of our four competitors from this year's game.

July 21st, 2011 - Martin Design's 2011 Summer Fiesta Block Party

Every year in the middle of summer Martin Design and Farmers State Bank host an event fondly known as the, "Summer Fiesta Block Party". At our event you will find free margaritas, beer, catering by Carlos O' Kelly's Mexican Restaurant Cafe, salsa music, and door prizes. Read More

March 19, 2011 - South Winneshiek CSD Auditorium Renovation Open House

Our Strawberry Point office, Gardner Architecture, was hired by the South Winneshiek Community School District in the Spring of 2010 to renovate the existing auditorium high school. The renovation included new energy efficient lighting, seating, carpeting, finishes, sound systems, a minor increase in size to the orchestra pit, relocation of the sound booth, and acoustical improvements.

Here's what some people are saying about it, "It feels warm and cozy. The colors are so elegant-you feel like you are in a real theater. The use of technology is a nice touch and I know that will be used many times in the future. We can really hear, so glad to have the microphones. Love the aisle lighting, so professional. The seats are so comfortable."

August 12th, 2010 - 2010 Summer Fiesta Block Party Thank You

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event the largest we have held in its 14 year history. The Marion Chamber of Commerce estimated that we had over 450 attendees. We would like to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the excellent food and weather with us. It is always enjoyable to visit with old friends and make new ones. Below are a few pictures from the party, and we hope to see all of you at next years event.
